Buyer Beware Section - Imagine Guitars

Before you spend your hard earned money, these are some places that became Authorized Dealer's with or without the Manufacturer knowing, that they do not have a REAL store. Stores like this are a hindrance and thwart on a real store's existence. It is hard to match the price of some guy selling guitars from his house. I would not even want to go inside his house to see his guitars. It is a shame and dealers like this should be closed immediately, if you do not have enough ambition to actually open a store, you shouldn't be in business.

If these Manufacturers choose to AUTHORIZE Frank Mann as a dealer, they will not be lines that a true Brick & Mortar store should bring in. Here, at Synergy, we have had some of these lines in place, before finding out about Imagine Guitars UPS Store opening, otherwise we would not have brought them in or store.

Frank Mann bought the guts of a true and respected Guitar Dealer's quasi store and has put it to shame.

Posts reposted from the Breedlove Forum for the sale of Imagine Guitars. One of the requirements was to have a TRUE Brick & Mortar store and obviously, Frank Mann thought the UPS Store Qualified. Buyer Beware!!! You never know where your hard earned dollars might end up on the internet.

RBN (Relatively Big News) re: Imagine Guitars & Breedlove

Greetings! In my Imagine Guitars newsletter earlier this month, I alluded to some 'big news' that would be coming around the pike. I am now able to share that news, and I am guessing that it will be of interest to everyone here at the BGMF. The long version can be seen at the following link:

If you don't want to read all of that, though, here's the synopsis. I am about to make a very exciting career transition. As of 4/30/07, I will no longer be a Breedlove dealer. But my relationship with Breedlove is far from over. I am actually going to be working directly for the Breedlove Guitar Company. I'll have a fairly broad role, but my primary responsibility will be to head up Marketing Communications. I have helped Breedlove with web and print projects on a freelance basis in the past, but this is obviously a much larger step!

I wanted to make an anouncement tailored specifically to the BGMF because I plan to continue posting and participating here in my official capacity. I'll be around to answer questions about Breedlove instruments, and I'll also try to post breaking news here, as well. I hope the BGMF will continue to grow and remain a vibrant forum for the discussion of all things Breedlove. I will do whatever I can to ensure that happens.

If it is a new Breedlove with lifetime warranty or tried and true with a one year warranty, it's probably not going to be around after 4/30/07. As to what will happen with Imagine, well, I am currently exploring options. The three possibilities are as follows: 1) I could find a buyer for the business as a whole - someone else passionate about Breedlove guitars specifically, and guitars in general, with a penchant for photography and a basic idea about web design and site maintenance. The sale would include the name, the website, a complete photography rig (with training on that and also on some basic web maintenance skills.) It would also include whatever remains of the inventory I mention above, already shot and listed. Some sort of ongoing consulting would probably be needed too. 2) I could offer the 'guts' of Imagine Guitars to another dealer interested in raising their own on-line profile. This would be a dealer with an established name and a strong brick&mortar, that might be interested in a turn-key on-line presence that could be grafted into their existing operations. 3) Imagine Guitars simply goes quiet for now... once my remaining stock/consignment inventory is sold or otherwise relocated, Imagine Guitars becomes an archive site for everything that I have done up to this point (I have a load of guitar listings that I have yet to put in the gallery, for lack of time.) 2 & 3 could both happen concurrently... in fact, 3 will happen regardless, as I will retain the right to my existing photography whatever happens, and post an archive somewhere. The references below are taken directly from the Imagine Guitars website, stating they are carrying these various lines. In fact they are not, they are lying to the public. They actually do not even carry any amplifiers. All these respected lines should not be up on the Imagine Guitars sites, so proudly displayed to entice the public into making a purchase from Frank Mann in his house/UPS store. Buyer Beware!
